Passing the Google Analytics Individual Qualification – GAIQ
I use Google Analytics professionally on a regular basis, and consider myself a proficient user of the tool.
However, there are, as always, more stuff to know. Using a tool, or a set of methods, you risk getting stuck in routines and ways of working, for better and for worse. Google’s Conversion University and digging in to the Google Analytics IQ lessons is a great way to explore new dimensions of the tool and challenge how to work with it, as well as to brush up on the basics.
Restless as I am, having time off on vacation can be a challenge, so I went through the lessons and did some additional reading. Then I took the Google Analytics Individual Qualification test. There are 70 questions and you need to get at least 80 % correct within 90 minutes. I just passed with 94 % correct answers. Yeah!
Both the lessons and the test are a little heavy on the technical side, which actually was pretty good for me as i usually focus on in-depth analysis.
There are also a number of features not mentioned in the lessons or the test, like the new social metrics and reports in the new version of Google Analytics.
Passing the test you get this neat little certification.
